Theme: Walking it Out

As we step into a new week, we do so with a theme that is both practical and deeply spiritual: Walking It Out. Scripture calls us beyond agreement into obedience, beyond words into practice, and beyond private belief into a life that visibly follows God.

James gives that call when he tells us to be doers of the word and not hearers only. It is a needed reminder for all of us. Faith is not meant to stay safely tucked inside good intentions or familiar language. It is meant to take shape in daily life. This week, we are considering what it looks like to let the word of God move from the page into the pattern of our lives. (Beth Shulam)

This Week’s Scripture Anchor:

Acts 15

But be doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves.

God wants His word to shape the way we live each day. Real faith shows up in what we do, not only in what we say.

In the Margin Blog from Elizabeth Shulam

We believers know exactly what Scripture says, yet sometimes itch to hold it at a safe distance from daily life. We read it, agree with it, underline it, and even share it, but the actual shape of our day remains untouched. James writes,

“But be doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves.”

Blue Heart Movement Takeaway

Blue Heart Movement

The phrase “synagogue of Satan” has been used to wound the Jewish people, but Revelation does not support that distortion. In this teaching, Beth explores Revelation 2:9 and Revelation 3:9 in their first-century Jewish context, showing that the passage speaks to specific local conflict rather than universal condemnation of Jews or Judaism. She traces how later Christian history weaponized the phrase and contrasts that misuse with Paul’s warning in Romans 11:18 not to boast over the branches. The study also highlights Revelation’s deeply Jewish imagery, from the covenant story of Israel to the victorious Lamb, Yeshua the Messiah. Watch, share, and let us know what stood out to you in the comments.
