Messianic Faith

Messianic Judaism is a movement of Jewish people who believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the promised Messiah of Israel while continuing to embrace their Jewish identity, heritage, and connection to the Jewish people. It seeks to live out faith in the Messiah within a Jewish framework rather than abandoning Jewish life and culture.

hen we read the Gospels, the question was never whether Jewish people cared about the Messiah. The question was what kind of Messiah many were expecting, and how God chose to reveal Him.

The phrase “kingdom of God” is so often spoken in church that it can begin to feel like a religious slogan instead of a framework that reshapes how we see everything. Yet when Yeshua spoke about the kingdom, He was announcing God’s reign, God’s order, God’s authority, and God’s claim over real people living in a real world.

We believers know exactly what Scripture says, yet there is still that itch to hold it at a safe distance from daily life. We read it, agree with it, underline it, and even share it, but the actual shaping of our day can sometimes stay untouched. James speaks directly to this in James 1:22

Encounter may awaken us, but formation is what teaches us how to walk faithfully afterward. A person may be deeply moved in a single moment and still remain undisciplined, unstable, or immature if that moment is never worked into daily life. Scripture treats spiritual life as covenantal faithfulness formed over time.

The revelations at Sinai and Pentecost both are moments of divine speech, divine presence, and covenant identity.

So the question for believers is not whether God still cares how His people live. He does. The question is whether we are willing to be instructed.

There are seasons in Scripture when God’s people are called to move, and there are seasons when they are called to prepare. Shavuot places us inside one of those preparing moments.
