Israel and the Jewish People

For many Christians, supporting Israel feels both deeply important and increasingly complicated. News headlines, political debates, humanitarian concerns, and theological disagreements often leave believers wondering how to respond faithfully.

For centuries, Jewish people have been accused of killing Jesus. The accusation is sometimes expressed bluntly: “The Jews killed Christ.” In theological language, it is known as the charge of deicide, meaning the killing of God. This claim assigns collective responsibility for the crucifixion of Yeshua to the Jewish people as a whole. In its most extreme form, it treats that guilt as permanent and inherited by every generation of Jews. The charge is false.

Romans 11 contains one of the most important discussions of Israel in the entire New Testament. For nearly two thousand years, Christians have wrestled with Paul's teaching in this chapter because it addresses questions that remain relevant today.

The Bible was written over many centuries by dozens of authors living in different circumstances, yet it tells one unified story. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals God's covenant relationship with humanity and His plan of redemption through the Messiah. What many Christians do not realize, however, is that this story unfolds within a distinctly Jewish world.

In Scripture, a genealogy does far more than record who belonged to a particular family. It establishes identity, preserves covenant history, confirms inheritance, connects generations, and shows how God’s promises continue through real people living in real families.

Few theological subjects generate more discussion than Replacement Theology. The topic touches questions of biblical interpretation, church history, God's covenant promises, and the relationship between Israel and the Church.

Scriptural unity never required the erasure of Jewish identity. In Messiah, Jews and Gentiles are brought into one body through peace, not through flattening what God has chosen to distinguish.
