Replacement theology is the belief that the church has replaced Israel as the people of God. In its strongest form, it teaches that the Jewish people lost their covenant standing because they rejected Yeshua, that the promises once given to Israel now belong exclusively to the church, and that Jewish life after the first century has little continuing place in God’s purposes.
